Jessica and Liam, both 23, were taken aback when they learned they were expecting twins again, only two years after their first.
The doctor says that having twin boys followed by twin girls is as unlikely as being hít by lightning.
The Kent couple, who admitted they “weren’t perfect” with contraception, found out they were expecting twin boys barely six months into their relationship. Jessica discovered out she was pregnant twins again two years later when Harry and Elijah were two years old. Jessica gave birth to Phoebe and Aria in September, with doctors informing them that the unplanned pregnancies were rarer than getting hít by lightning.
Jessica found out she was pregnant again just after her sons turned two, and the pair expressed their joy at the prospect of adding to their family. “My first words were ‘oh no, not again,’ said Jessica. When we told people, they αssumed we were joking, and no one believed us. I didn’t think anyone believed us until I posted a photo of the scans of both of them on Facebook. We may not have planned it when we first met, but in the span of a few years, we’ve completed our entire family.”
During the pregnancy, Jessica experienced cardiac problems and fainting spells. The decision to conduct an early C-section was taken by the doctors. Phoebe and Aria were born six weeks apart on September 28 and weighed 3 lbs 11 oz each. There are no identical twins in both sets of twins. “It’s the ideal bundle,” Jessica remarked. “Two boys, two girls, two sets of twins.” To me, we’re the ideal family, and it just seems right. I wouldn’t change it for the world now that I’ve had four υиєχρє¢тє∂ babies. Twin boys adore being big brothers and are extremely protective and affectionate toward their younger sisters. It was a beautiful moment bringing the girls home to the boys.”
“The lads are really excellent with them,” she added. It was a bit of a culture ṩḧöċḳ the first couple of days, but we quickly adjusted. The boys are very protective and loving, and they will run about and help by grabbing nappies or other items. Harry had a go at me the other day when I picked up Aria, and she started crying and told me to put her down. They make excellent big brothers. We hadn’t been together long when the first twins were born. People were a lot more congratulatory this time because we’d done it before and were strong. It has been easier in some ways. We’d done it all before, so we had a good idea of how much it would cost and were better prepared.”
Dad “To think I’m a father of four is pretty weird,” Liam continued. People my age frequently stay at home with their parents, dreaming of going out or attending university. Having kids in my life has inspired me to achieve more. It makes me want to do everything I can to make them proud.”
