Recently a book composed by Kevin Kim – creative director who is responsible for the stage in BTS’s world tour has been released. In the book, Kevin shares untold stories and personal impressions about his performances and behind-the-scenes preparation. Kevin said that creating the stage concept for a particular ballad was more difficult, and it was Jin’s solo song Epiphany. The decorative background and ideas for Epiphany were changed once for each performance, helping Jin bring new and unique stages to the audience that could not be duplicated.
Returning his memory back to the past, the director expressed his impression when Jin stood amidst the cheers of the surrounding audience, under the shining light, looking at Jin extremely surreal, giving a feeling as if Kevin Kim was It’s a pleasure to meet God.
As previously revealed, Jin was the opening of the series in the album Love Yourself and tour of the same name, so the song intro Epiphany was the highlight of the whole concert. Only Jin was able to convey the indescribable emotional message in Epiphany, because Jin soon took on the role of an actor in BTS. The most special thing that helps Epiphany impress the audience strongly is thanks to the powerful and emotional voice of the male idol. Many times Jin received praise from famous music critics for vocal techniques when performing this song.
Among hundreds of solo performances, the version of Epiphany that Jin brought to the city of Riyadh (Riyadh), Saudi Arabia (Saudi Arabia) is a legendary stage that is hard to replace. Shortly thereafter, Epiphany immediately swept SA’s iTunes No.1 while the tour was still going on. On Twitter, Jin and Epiphany also occupied the top trending for many days. SA media even wrote a series of articles about the vocal god Jin. Since then, the phrase “Jin’s voice” has frequently reached the top of the Saudi social network, every time there is a live performance or a new song is released by BTS.
Another shocking revelation was that Jin performed Epiphany following The Truth Untold without even a 1-minute break. Both songs are pure vocal and highly technically demanding, yet Jin has performed like that at the same time more than 65 times in a way that could not be more perfect, showing remarkable vocal skill and ability.
